\nIn just a month after getting acquainted with the process of neurorehabilitation of seriously wounded at the #NODUS clinic, Rachel Thibeault collected and sent charitable contributions of several tens of thousands of Canadian dollars.
\nRachel met the NODUS team at a conference and came to the clinic by invitation. Rachel Thibeault, Professor at the University of Ottawa, Canada.<\/p>\n

Ms Rachel Thibeault has come a long way from a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Occupational Therapy) at Laval University, Canada, to postgraduate studies at the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, USA) and the University of Aarhus (Denmark).
\nIn 2012, Professor Rachel Thibault was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in recognition of her lifetime achievements in pushing the boundaries of occupational therapy and advocating for people with disabilities in Canada and abroad.<\/p>\n

As an occupational therapist, professor, community developer and health and social justice activist, she has worked for more than three decades with populations facing extreme stigma, including war victims around the world.
\nHer approach goes beyond strict rehabilitation measures and is based on the principles of sustainable livelihoods, integration of services, engagement in meaningful occupations and social inclusion. And most importantly, it is based on high evidence-based methods, research and clinical practice.
\nMs Rachel talked to patients about their problems in terms of modern rehabilitation in the context of war. And her appreciation of the results of the NODUS team’s work is expressed in charitable contributions.<\/p>\n
